This photography project aimed to highlight the elegance and functionality of cocktail shakers, captured in action by a professional mixologist. Shot in a studio transformed to resemble a dark, moody bar, the focus was on portraying the shaker as an essential tool for creating perfect cocktails.

This photography project aimed to highlight the elegance and functionality of cocktail shakers, captured in action by a professional mixologist. Shot in a studio transformed to resemble a dark, moody bar, the focus was on portraying the shaker as an essential tool for creating perfect cocktails.
Location & Setup:
To mimic a high-end bar, the studio was styled with low-key lighting and rich tones. The challenge was balancing the intimate bar atmosphere with the flexibility of a studio setup, ensuring the cocktail shaker remained the focal point while maintaining the desired ambiance.
Creative Direction & Challenges:
With a mixologist unfamiliar with being photographed, the shoot required careful direction to capture natural, dynamic movements. Lighting posed another challenge, as it had to be dark enough to emulate a bar while ensuring the shaker was clearly visible.
Results:
The final images captured both the cocktail shaker’s design and the mixologist’s expertise, successfully blending product focus with storytelling. These photos are now used for marketing, product promotion, and social media.
